MESSAGE FROM THE IAAAM PRESIDENT ELECT

It is once again time to start your planning for the 47th Annual IAAAM Conference to be hosted by the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center in Virginia Beach, VA on May 21-26. Everything that you need to know will be posted later this week on the IAAAM website at www.iaaam.org including a detailed event brochure prepared by our meeting organizers at Delaney Meeting and Event Management, a link to the conference registration page and another link for abstract submission. AQUAVET has partnered with IAAAM this year to hold their 40th Anniversary Conference at the Virginia Beach Hilton with a banquet on Friday night May 20 and scientific presentations on Saturday May 21 before the IAAAM Ice Breaker. Separate registration will be required for the AQUAVET activities but you can access those links on the IAAAM website as well.  You should plan for a full week of activities and attend a one of several great IAAAM workshops on Thursday May 26. The list and descriptions of workshops will be included in the registration portal as details become available and you can add a workshop or modify your registration later in the spring if needed by reopening your registration using your unique Registration ID.

The deadline for abstract submission will be January 31, 2015. We are anticipating the usual large number of abstracts this year so are asking your preference for oral vs poster presentations and may need to ask some presenters to switch to a poster if sessions become too full. The link for abstract submission is http://www.cvent.com/d/9fqjy1/4W .  Please follow the abstract submission instructions and be sure that you format your document correctly before it is submitted or we will not be able to include it in the scientific sessions and electronic proceedings.

Conference registration is now open!  Your registration fee includes admission to all Scientific Sessions as well as Evening Events, a thumb drive of all session abstracts, and a conference giveaway.  Guest Registration is also available which provides access to all Evening Events and a giveaway.  Post-Conference Workshops will be announced in early February and will be available at an additional cost.  Additional tickets for the evening events can also be purchased.
