Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) - Mystic Aquarium

Spend your summer researching how global change (e.g. pollution, climate change) affects marine organisms and their ecosystems! Our Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) offers a unique collaboration between the renowned Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT, and the University of Connecticut, Avery Point located on Long Island Sound.

Offered for 10 Weeks (June - August) in 2024, 2025 & 2026

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN:

  • Access to both Mystic Aquarium and UConn's resources and expertise

  • Training in cutting-edge marine research (both field and laboratory opportunities)

  • Professional development such as training in science communication, data analysis, ethics, etc.
