The SeaDoc Society’s new Translational Scientist and Field Veterinarian will play a lead role in moving the dial forward to protect the long-term health of the Salish Sea. This role is an exciting opportunity to join SeaDoc’s 25-year history of conservation work and make a mark on a better future of this place we love. This is a new role for our organization, and will play a key role in translating years of trusted science into action for this ecosystem and its wildlife.
They will not have to chase after grants or worry whether there will be funding for their position from year to year. That’s because this role will have guaranteed annual funding from the SeaDoc Society Community Endowment for Science Translation, and we’re working with donors now to raise enough funds to secure the future of this role.
